Dowlais Group plc is an engineering company based in the UK that focusses on eDrive, automotive powertrain, and metallurgical technologies. Dowlais was created in 2023 when it split off from Melrose Industries. Its biggest subsidiaries are GKN Automotive and GKN Powder Metallurgy. The group works with many of the world’s top vehicle makers to create sustainable technologies for electrified and hybrid mobility. Dowlais is based in London and uses GKN’s years of experience to make lightweight materials and driveline systems that work well. It works in many markets around the world and helps the shift to cleaner transport options through precise engineering and new ideas.
