The West Somerset Railway Steam Fayre & Vintage Rally 2025 runs on 2–3 August at the WSRA Rally Fields in Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton (10 am–5 pm daily). Organised by volunteers from the West Somerset Railway Association, it’s a vibrant celebration of steam-age heritage and vintage transport, with proceeds supporting the historic railway.

Spanning 33 acres, the rally features working traction engines, tractors, stationary engines, road rollers, alongside classic cars, motorbikes, fire engines, buses, and military and commercial vehicles. Highlights include arena parades, live steam and tractor demonstrations, and charming brake van rides on the Barnstaple line.

Families are well catered for with a children’s fun area, model train rides, and local artisan food, ale, cider, and crafts in refreshment and trade marquees. Visitors can arrive via a free shuttle train from Bishop’s Lydeard or bus from Silk Mills Park & Ride — and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
